Howerton honored at state level


Phoebe Howerton, the 11-year-old piano student of Mary Goodwin, placed first in her class at the North Carolina Music Association state level competition at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington April 16. On April 30, she was honored at a recital held during the State NCMA convention at UNCW. Phoebe is the daughter of Shawn and Amy Howerton and has been taking piano since the age of seven.
