Services continue at area churches

On Thursday, May 19, at 7:30 p.m., Joy Night will be held at Ram In The Bush Church, Clinton. The guest messenger will be pastor Louie Boykin, choir and congregation of Baldwin Branch Church, Elizabethtown.

On Saturday, May 21, at 9 a.m. Group 4 of Ram In The Bush Church will sponsor a huge yard and bake sale in the O’Reily Auto parking lot, Clinton.

On Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m., Woman Book Study will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro. The theme: A neglected Woman, Tamar. (Genesis-the 38th Chapter). Studies will be taught by the Rev. Carolyn Bennett.

On Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m., The Western Assembly Christian Youth Fellowship Convention will be held at the Western Assembly Disciples of Christ Headquarter Building on Hwy. 701 South, Newton Grove.

On Sunday, May 22, at 10 a.m., Regular morning worship service will be held at Big Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The guest messenger will minister the word and the male chorus will render the music.

On Sunday, May 22, at 11 a.m., Fill The Pew’s Day will be held at Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Keener. The pastor, Bishop Mayes, will minister the word, and the gospel choir will render the music.

On Sunday, May 22, at 11 a.m., Mother’s Day service will be held at St. Jude United Holy Church, Clinton. The guest messenger will be Elder Thelma Water of Cooper Chapel United Holiness Church, Clinton. The women’s choir will render the music.

On Sunday, May 22 at 11 a.m., Regular morning worship service will be held at Lisbon St. Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest messenger will be the Rev. Cornors of Rocky Point. The male chorus will render the music.

On Sunday, May 22 at 11 a.m., Family and Friend’s Day will be held at Point Level Disciples of Christ Church, Clinton.

On Sunday, May 22, at 11 a.m., Regular morning worship service will be held at Bearskin Missionary Church, Clinton. Guest messenger will be the Rev. Valentino Bryant of Garner. The adult choir will render the music.

On Sunday, May 22, at 11 a.m., Women’s Day Celebration will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey. The guest messenger will be Minister Sharon Lane of Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro.

On Sunday, May 22, at 3 p.m., Men’s Choir of First Missionary Baptist Church, Keansville, will celebrate their anniversary. All men’s choir are invited to participate. Refreshments will be served.

On Sunday, May 22, at 3 p.m., Pastor’s Aide program will be held at Jackson Grove Bible Church of God, Midway. The guest messenger will be Dr. Timothy Peppers, choir and congregation of Union Grove Disciples of Christ Church, Clinton.

On Sunday, May 22, at 4 p.m., Revival will be held at Union Star Freewill Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest messenger will be Apostle Norbert Simmons and congregation of Deeper Light Church, Goldsboro. The revival will continue May 23-24 at 7:30 p.m. Different choirs will render the music each night.

On Sunday, May 22, at 4 p.m., A Shoe Size Service will be held at Ram In The Bush Church. The guest messenger will be pastor Regina Lucious, choir and congregation of New Life Outreach Ministries, Clinton. Following the morning service, dinner plates will be for sale at $7 a dinner.

The Western Assembly’s Sunday School Union held on Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m. and Sunday, May 29, at 9:45 a.m.

Beaver Dam Missionary Baptist Church on Odom Road, Clinton, Women’s Day Celebration weekend, will be observed on Saturday, May 28, at Ted’s Steak House, on Hwy. 701 Clinton, from 3 – 5 p.m. for an early dinner, following by an evening program at 6 p.m. at Beaver Dam Missionary Baptist Church. The guest speaker for the evening will be the Rev. Lora Jean Sutton of Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton.

A special Outreach Mission Service at Mt. Pleasant Church has been scheduled for Sunday, May 29, during Morning Worship Service. Our guest speaker will be Pastor Kumar from India. He is the overseer of 300 churches in that area, and we will be graced with his presence as he brings forth a Word from the Lord. We will also take up a special mission offering during this service.

“Twenty Ninth Pastoral Anniversary Celebration” for Bishop Varnie & First Lady Elder Idella M. Fullwood. The celebration will begin on Friday June 10, with Pastor Perry LeMonde’ Parker and the Smith Chapel choir and congregation. On Saturday June 11, at the hour of 6 p.m., we will be presented with a special play sponsored by The Youth Ministry of Mt. Pleasant MBC, written by Minister Andrea Rouse, of Snow Hill MBC, entitled “The Wedding.” The cost to attend will be $10 per person and the location will be right here at Mt. Pleasant.

On Sunday morning, June 12th, our guest speaker will be Pastor Cathy Moore, of Greater Tabernacle Church Ministries, Longwood and on Sunday afternoon we will culminate with Pastor Cameron Hankins of New Christian Chapel, Rose Hill, NC, accompanied with his choir and congregation.

Union Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Inc. 716 Lisbon Street, Clinton will host its Relay For Life Yard Sale & Car Wash on Saturday, May 28, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. Various items for purchase, get your clean car and food for sale. Union Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Inc. 716 Lisbon Street, Clinton will host a 5th Sunday Musician’s Musical, May 29 at 4 p.m. Different guests.

On Wenesday, June 1, at 7 p.m., Free movie night-War Room will be shown at The Journey Church, 4191 Plainview Hwy., Dunn (directly across from Plainview Elementary School.
