Women to be honored in church celebrations

On Friday, May 27, at 7 p.m., Youth Night Service will be held at New Life Outreach Ministries, Clinton. The guest speaker will be Tyler Jernigan. The youth praise and worship will render the music. Refreshments will be served.

Union Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Inc. 716 Lisbon Street, Clinton will host its Relay For Life Yard Sale and Car Wash on Saturday, May 28, from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. Various items for purchase, get your clean car and food for sale. All proceeds to benefit Sampson County Relay For Life Team of Union Grove.

The Western Assembly’s Sunday School Union will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m. and Sunday, May 29, at 9:45 a.m.

Beaver Dam Missionary Baptist Church on Odom Road in Clinton will have Women’s Day Celebration weekend Saturday, May 28, at Ted’s Steakhouse, on Hwy. 701 Clinton, from 3-5 p.m. for an early dinner, followed by an evening program at 6 p.m. at Beaver Dam Missionary Baptist Church. The guest speaker for the evening will be the Rev. Lora Jean Sutton of Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton.

On Sunday, May 29, at 11 a.m. the continuation of the Women’s Day Celebration with the pastor, the Rev. Jeremy Jones, bringing forth the Women’s Day message, and the women choir will render the music.

On Sunday, May 29, at 11 a.m., The New Church of Christ, Faison, will have their Annual Fellowship Service. Different Churches will attend the service. The guest speaker will be Pastor Stephanie Baalam of Fresh Win Outreach Ministry, Fayetteville. The combine choir will render the music. Dinner will be served in the fellowship hall.

On Sunday, May 29, at 11 a.m., Regular morning worship service will be held at Lisbon St. Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest messenger will be the Rev. James Jackson of Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey. The combine choir will render the music.

A special Outreach Mission Service has been scheduled for Sunday, May 29, at Mt. Pleasant Church Family during morning worship service. Our guest speaker will be Pastor Kumar from India. He is the overseer of 300 churches in that area, and we will be graced with his presence as he brings forth a Word from the Lord. We will also take up a special mission offering during this service.

“Twenty Ninth Pastoral Anniversary Celebration” for Bishop Varnie and First Lady Elder Idella M. Fullwood. The celebration will begin on Friday, June 10, with Pastor Perry LeMonde’ Parker and the Smith Chapel choir and congregation. On Saturday, June 11, at 6 p.m., we will be presented with a special play sponsored by The Youth Ministry of Mt. Pleasant MBC, written by Minister Andrea Rouse, of Snow Hill MBC, entitled “The Wedding.” To purchase a ticket, please see any member of The Man Up Ministry. On Sunday morning, June 12, our guest speaker will be Pastor Cathy Moore, of Greater Tabernacle Church Ministries, Longwood, and on Sunday afternoon we will culminate with Pastor Cameron Hankins of New Christian Chapel, Rose Hill, accompanied with his choir and congregation.

Union Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Inc. 716 Lisbon St., Clinton, will host a 5th Sunday Musician’s Musical, May 29 at 4 p.m. Many guests to be present. Free will offering and refreshments served.

On Sunday, June 5, at 10 a.m., Family and Friend’s Day will be observed at Big Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton.

On Sunday, June 5, at 3 p.m., Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate Deacon Famous Raynor Day. The guest messenger will be Pastor Floyd Ray of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Dunn.

On Saturday, June 11 at 4 p.m., Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church pastor’s aide will sponsor a Hat Parade. There will be several speakers on the program.
