The Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce is honored to partner with the Small Business Center at Sampson Community College to provide educational opportunities to Chamber members for a low cost or, in some cases, no cost. Each year, over 20 educational opportunities are offered ranging from social media, customer service, tax updates, online advertising, and more. I am excited to announce a few of this fall’s educational opportunities.
On Sept. 25, Martin Brossman will return to Sampson County for our first fall “Lunch and Learn” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chamber office. Martin will discuss “Tracking Social Media Marketing Results & Return on Investment for Business Owners.” Enjoy a catered lunch and discover how to ensure your social media marketing is bringing your business the results you are searching for. This seminar is $10/person (includes lunch) for Chamber members/Small Business Center clients and $15/person (includes lunch) for the public. Next, please join us on Sept. 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sampson Community College for a panel seminar event entitled “Building Reuse & Business Startup” This moderated panel event is intended to assist current business owners and future business owners identify resources that can assist with fixing an existing structure to meet codes and their needs for their business. Currently, the panel includes: local property owner Greg Thornton, local restaurant owner Richard Barefoot, who recently took advantage of business reuse resources, architect David Maurer, and more. This seminar is offered at no cost and is open to the public.
Lastly, on Oct. 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., we encourage you to save the date for this “Lunch and Learn” led by Barbara Bryan, “Effective Communication Skills for Women.” This seminar is offered at the Chamber Office and is $10/person (includes lunch) for Chamber members/Small Business Center clients and $15/person (includes lunch) for the public.
