Young Professionals kick off July 21

By Kaitlin Norris - Contributing columnist

The Young Professionals of Sampson County is a sub-organization of the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce with the mission to connect young professionals, engage within the community and advance in leadership development to be the leaders of tomorrow. As young professionals within the age range of 22 to 40 come together to connect, engage and advance, we look forward to continue the growth of this organization.

This past year was the first active year of the Young Professionals of Sampson County. The goal of the organization was to shoot for an engage, connect, and advance session each month for our members. We held multiple events to give our young professionals an opportunity to network with other young professionals, but also with business owners, and established businessmen and women in our community.

With over 100 members, we hope to continue to offer these opportunities for years to come. We will be kicking off our Young Professionals year on July 21 at the Timberlake pool with hot dogs, local brewed beer, door prizes, and lots of fun. We would love to have potential Young Professional members come join us and check out what this organization is all about. It will be from 6-8 p.m.

I strongly encourage if you are between the age of 22 and 40 to join us that night and consider joining the Young Professionals of Sampson County. We are the next generation of professionals in Sampson County and we hope to further your knowledge and build lasting relationships between us all.
