CycleNC has arrived

CycleNC is finally here! The event that we have been waiting for is finally today! We are very thankful that Hurricane Matthew is looking to take a more eastern track so that North Carolina does not see as big of an impact from this storm and so that CycleNC can go on.

I would first like to thank Sheila Barefoot, director of the Sampson County Convention and Visitors Bureau, for putting together this wonderful and beneficial event for our community. She has been working hard on this event since our first day together in January. The economic impact that this event will have on Sampson County is remarkable and it will bring a whole new light on us. I urge the community to come on out this afternoon and tonight to support the cyclist and support our local businesses! It is going to be a great time with good food and great drinks. It is truly and event you will not want to miss!

There are other exciting things happening at the Chamber this week as well! We are having a ribbon cutting on Friday celebrating the new location of Simply NC. Come on out at 5 p.m. this Friday to celebrate and eat some yummy refreshments at 100 East Main St. in Clinton. Remember that ribbon cuttings celebrate the growth of businesses in Sampson County!

Join us next Thursday for the Chamber’s October Business After Hours at The Center of Health and Wellness. Come out and network, meet new people, enjoy great food, and see what the Center of Health and Wellness is all about! We hope to see you there next Thursday, Oct. 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 417 East Johnson St. here in Clinton.

If you have any questions about our events coming up or about what the Chamber can do for you, please contact us at 910-592-6177 or you can reach us by email at [email protected] We encourage everyone to get and involved and to see what we are all about.
