The Star Wars saga continues as the newest title film is set to open in theaters at midnight tonight. Locally, fanatics will have the opportunity to see the movie Friday, when East Park Cinema opens the doors to the movie.

Rouge One is the first film in a unique series of big-screen adventures that explores the characters and events beyond the core Star Wars saga.

Officials with Nissan have joined forces and have a 2017 Nissan Rogue edition that has been released in conjunction with the film.

Local Nissan dealership owner Donnie Lamm has jumped on board, not only helping promote the limited edition vehicle, but pushing for others to see the cutting-edge film.

According to Lamm, this is the largest ad campaign done by Nissan. On his lot, he currently has two of the limited edition Rogues, which will be on display Friday at the premiere of the new movie at East Park.

Darth Vader and a storm trooper will also make a special appearance during the movie opening, which has already sold million of tickets worldwide for tonight’s midnight showing.

“There are a lot of Star Wars fanatics around here,” Lamm said. “I guess you could say I am just a big kid at heart and I love doing things like this for the community.”

Lamm isn’t stopping at just displaying the new vehicles and promoting the movie, he has a special offer for the first 100 people to attend a showing of Rouge One at East Park.

“For the first 100 guests to come into the theater Friday night, Nissan of Clinton will buy their ticket,” Lamm said.
