In Matthew 6:34 Jesus says, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take though for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Oh my, how hard is it to walk in this verse each and every day. Jesus is simply saying, “Don’t worry about tomorrow;” let it be. This is not easily done when we live in a social media-driven world that is forever more predicting this or that to happen. Let’s face it — “fear” can cripple your “faith” which can drive you to worrying. God would desire that we live one day at a time, focusing on the many blessings that he has given unto us through his son Jesus Christ. When we place our trust in him, and know that he is the source of life, it is then when we know that our needs will be supplied. There is not one time that we can name when God didn’t make a way when it seemed like a way could not be made. It’s time to get anchored in the word of God, which can cast off those thoughts of worrying about tomorrow. Yes, opening up the Bible and reading it can calm your nerves about tomorrow. It’s a subject that is not talked about much now behind the pulpit; reading the Bible for yourself and not depending on the preacher so much. If Christians would open up the Bible more and learn the word of God and get it deeply rooted in their spirits and hearts, it would make a difference in their walk with Christ. Stop the worrying about tomorrow and it’s issues; if the Lord brought you through today then trust in him to bring you through the next day. Be thankful for today, give God the praise for it, and remember that “No weapon that is formed against you shall not prosper,” even those that are already devised on tomorrow shall not in “Jesus’ name” take you out. God is already in our tomorrows so let’s bless his name for bringing us through.
