A 24-year-old Sampson County man remained in jail Tuesday afternoon facing a laundry list of felony charges stemming from two break-ins he was recently charged with committing.

Brandon Hall, of 659 Share Cake Rod, Clinton, was taken into custody Friday night and charged with two counts breaking and entering, two counts larceny after breaking and entering and two counts possession of stolen goods, all felonies. He was jailed under separate $7,500 bond.

According to Sampson Sheriff’s Cpl. Marcus Smith, a citizen tip initiated an investigation which, in turn, led officers to Hall.

Hall has been connected, Smith said, to break-ins on Share Cake Road and Keener Road.

The Keener Road incident occurred on June 3 when an outbuilding was broken into and power tools valued at $200 were taken. The Share Cake Road incident occurred on Aug. 20, when a residence was broken into and a purse and camaer valued at $160 were taken.

Sampson Detention Center records show that Hall is also facing charges of misdemeanor larceny and possession of tobacco by an inmate. No bonds were listed for those charges.

Hall is expected to make his first appearance in district court on the felony charges Sept. 13.
