Complaints from area residents led to the arrest Friday night of two Sampson County men on a laundry list of marijuana-related charges.
According to Sampson County Sheriff’s reports, Johnnie Lorman Jones, 43, of 95 Pine Oak Lane, Dunn, and Jordan Rashuan Cash, 23, of 915 Midway Elementary School Road, Dunn, were taken into custody following an execution of a search warrant at the 95 Pine Oak Lane residents.
Jones was charged with two counts each of selling marijuana, delivering marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for the sell of a controlled substance, all felonies. In addition, he was charged with the misdemeanors of possession of marijuana (.5 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cash was charged with one count each of selling marijuana, delivering marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for the sell of a controlled substance, all felonies.
Sheriff’s Capt. Eric Pope said the arrests were the culmination of an investigation that began with complaints from citizens.
Agents with the Special Investigations Division conducted the search of the Pine Oak Lane residence around 8 p.m. Friday night and made the arrests.
Jones was placed under a $30,000 bond and given an Oct. 11 first appearance in Sampson District Court. Cash was given a $15,000 bond and an Oct. 11 court date. Both have since been released from custody.
