Tuesday night, Roseboro town board unanimously approved the new budget ordinance for the upcoming 2014-15 fiscal year.

The property tax will remain at .69 per $100 valuation and privilege license fees will be maintained. The only new change will be in the cemetery rates. The new rates will have $40 included as a filing fee so that the deeds to the cemetery plots can be properly and swiftly recorded with the Sampson County Registrar of Deeds office. In the past it was left to the purchaser to ensure that the recording was completed.

Roseboro is also not going to see any increase in utility rates and no raises are planned for personnel.

Capital outlay expenses are planned. The town expects to change over the software and hardware for the utility system and renovate the office as well.
