Old Bluff Theatre Co. brings Neil Simon’s riotous comedy, “Rumors,” to life this weekend only, March 20-23. Sponsored by the Clinton-Sampson Rotary, this show is sure to entertain. At a large, tastefully appointed townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of Farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken and wife, Chris must get the story straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and mis-communications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.
Rumors is directed by Old Bluff Artistic Director Lucy Lockamy and stars local notables, Kevin Kiernan, Frank Bradshaw, Clay Boney, Natalie Pope, Nicholas Ziolkowski, Lisa Turlington, Haley Parker, Brooke Beatty, Lucy Lockamy, and Justin Lockamy.
The action takes place at A Peaceful Path in downtown Clinton, 111 Ace Plaza. Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. from Thursday through Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now online at oldblufftheatre.org or in person at A Peaceful Path.
