The Hobbton Middle School Volleyball team started its season with a strong showing against Roseboro-Salemburg Middle on Monday night with a 3 set victory.

“RS played really well today,” said Hobbton coach Chip Pollock. “They got out to an early lead but our girls held it together and ended up with the victory.”

The Wildcats won the contest 25-22, 25-19, 25-23.

Leading Hobbton to victory were Denise Lamb (15 service points), Sarah Suggs (11 service points), Cameron Hunter (7 service points), Sarah Daughtry (7 service points), Delaney Thornton (3 Kills).

Hobbton returns to action Thursday at Union while Roseboro-Salemburg is idle.
