Hobbton Middle Wildcats beat Sampson Middle in soccer on Thursday by a score of 3-2, according to Hobbton coach Damon Burnett.

Hobbton got on the board first when Jair Sanchez crossed the ball from the left side to an open Dennis Licona who knocked it in from 6 yards out two minutes into the game.

Sampson got on the boards ten minutes later to tie the score. One minute after that, Sanchez scored his first goal unassisted and gave the Wildcats the lead.

Sanchez got his second goal five minutes later to seal the win. Sampson got a goal halfway through the second half to inch closer but time ran out.

Wildcat Asiano Otero, Jr. preserved the win with 7 saves.
