Hobbton varsity volleyball team won their final game of the season at Neuse Charter in 3 consecutive sets; 25-19, 25-20, and 25-11.


They ended the season 3-11 in the conference and 3-15 overall.


Conference Tournament


This brings up the 1A Carolina Conference Volleyball Tournament, which starts on Monday, according to Hobbton coach Russell Jones.


The first round begins on Monday and the top 4 seeds host the lower seeds. The Wildcats will travel to Rosewood; Neuse Charter will face No. 1 Princeton; North Duplin will go to Lakewood at 5:30 p.m.; and Spring Creek will host James Kenan.


On Tuesday, the No.2 and No. 3 tournament teams will face off at host school Hobbton at 5 p.m. Then at 7 p.m., No. 1 and No. 4 teams will compete. The final game is Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Wildcat gym.


State playoffs begin next Saturday.
