HCA’s junior varsity volleyball team finished the season as conference champions with a 10-0 record.


They won their last game against O’Neal School: 25-11 and 25-11.


Leading the offense with 15 of 15 serves was Sophie Campbell. She also had 6 aces, 1 kill, and 6 assists. Helping her out on the court was Harley Crumpler with 8 of 8 serves, 3 aces, 7 assists, 3 digs, and 1 kill; Abigail Blanchard, 4 aces, 3 kills, and 1 dig; Madison Tart, 1 kill; Caitlyn Miller, 5 kills; Anna Pigford, 4 aces; and Marianne Moore, 3 kills.


HCA Varsity


The varsity Lady Crusaders earned a spot in the first round of the NCISAA playoff tournament by defeating O’Neal School in 3 sets: 25-13; 25-17; 25-15.


Chloe Campbell led the scoring for Harrells with 17 of 18 serves, 3 aces, 6 kills, and 6 digs. Other top players were Anna Huff, with 7 kills, 6 blocks, and 5 aces; Haylee Parks, with 19 assists, 6 kills, and 4 digs; Christian Campbell, 4 kills, 4 blocks; and Claudia Holland, 3 kills, 2 digs.


From here they traveled to New Bern and faced Epiphany School in the first round of the 2A playoffs. The Crusaders lost in 3 sets: 25-21, 25-16, and 25-22.
