The Union Spartan softball team invaded the Wildcats’ den Wednesday and came away with an 11-7 win.

Hobbton coach Morgan Farroll said, “Makenzie Williams pitched a good game tonight. The umpire had a tight strike zone the first couple of innings and that is when Union scored most of their runs. She had 5 strike outs on the night. Union played hard and took advantage of our mistakes and hit the ball well. I am proud of our girls for fighting back the whole game and never giving up. This is a young team and they work hard for everything they get. We just need to fix a few small things at practice and be ready for the next game.”

For the Wildcats, Hannah Warren was 1-4 with 1 base on balls and 2 runs. Maddy Roesch had 1 base on balls and 2 runs. MacKenzie Williams 2-2, 2 bases on balls and 3 runs.
