On March 15, the Harrells Christian Academy varsity and JV Science Olympiad teams ventured to Lenoir Community College to compete in the Regional Science Olympiad competition. There were 13 varsity teams and two JV teams in the “C” Division, in which HCA competed. The JV team earned first place overall as a team, landing them a spot to go to NC State University to compete at the state level on April 25-26. The varsity placed third overall as a team, which also places them among the top three varsity teams that advance to next level.
