Stuff the bus


Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church will be kicking off its 10th annual ‘Stuff the Bus’ event. The bus will be parked at Walmart Friday, July 31 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. to collect school supplies and backpacks. Supplies collected will be distributed to children in Sampson County and Clinton City schools. Elverso Powell and Carolyn Williams-Monk are spearheading this event. The church will host their annual Back 2 School celebration Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. to distribute donated school supplies.
