Parades step off over weekend

Salemburg’s fire department participated in next-door neighbor Roseboro’s nighttime Christmas parade Friday evening, traveling down Roseboro’s Main Street with its ladder truck. One of the department’s firemen rode in the truck’s ladder bucket, throwing out candy to young parade attendees.
