The convocation was followed by a candle-lighting ceremony in Kornegay Arena. The lighting of the candles represents the light of learning, the sharing of Christian values, and the need for the entire MOC campus community to be living by the College Covenant. Following the lighting of the candles, those in attendance sang the Mount Olive College Alma Mater.
