Robert Julian Caison of Selma received his Juris Doctorate degree from the School of Law at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia on May 11, 2013.


During the 158th commencement ceremony on the historic Washington and Lee campus, Caison presented the commencement speaker, U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine, with the traditional W. and L. walking stick. Senator Kaine spoke to the graduating class and their guests about being a hero to someone.


While earning his degree, Caison served as his class’ vice president along with James Bailey, the class president.


Caison is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Walt Caison of Selma and the grandson of Lynette Caison of Clinton.
