Glenn T. Parker, 68

HOPE MILLS — Glenn Truman Parker, 68, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 at Wake County Hospice.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills with Chaplain Tim Gore officiating.

Mr. Parker was born and reared in Sampson County, N.C. Mr. Parker was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church in Salemburg, N.C. He worked for the Kelly Springfield/Goodyear Tire Company for 29 years and retired early at age 56.

He was preceded in death by his father, Simpson Parker; his mother, Mattie Parker; his sister, Sally Parker Goodrich; and his brothers, Delmus Parker and MJ Parker.

Left to cherish his memories is his sisters, Margaret Gallagher and Rena Bradshaw, both from Clinton, N.C.; children, Veronica Fulton, Delmus Parker and Jeri Parker; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to be made to Wake County Hospice, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh N.C. 27607-6372.
