Harrells Christian Academy split with St. David’s in volleyball action. The Crusader junior varsity started their season off with a victory as they beat St. David’s two out of three games. The HCA varsity girls lost in three.

Scores for the junior varsity were 22-25; 25-18; 25-4

Individual stats showed Harley Crumpler was 15/16 in serves, 1 ace, and 11 assists; Mary Grace Norris was 10/12 in serves, and 11 kills; Abigail Blanchard, 9 kills; Sophie Campbell was 16/16 in serves, with 2 aces and 4 assists; Madison Tart was 3/4 in serves, with 2 kills; and Caitlin Miller was 12/13 in serves, 5 aces, 1 kill, and 1 block.

The JV Crusaders will play at home on Monday against Freedom Christian school.

The HCA varsity lost to a very tough St. David’s team, 19-25; 12-25; 18-25.

Stats for the Crusaders showed Anna Huff with 11 kills and 5 blocks; Natalie Hardin, 14 digs; Margaret Clark, 5 kills; Haylee Parks, 17 assists; and Chloe Campbell, 12/14 in serves.

The varsity record moves to 1-1. Both teams will play at home against Freedom Christian School on Monday.
