Union’s softball team faced a difficult loss against Wallace-Rose Hill on Monday night. The final score was 14-0, with the Lady Bulldogs taking home the win.

Doug Burley, Union’s head coach, said “We have to work on hitting the ball better. We also need to start playing better defense.”

Taylor Malpass pitched all 5 innings for the Spartans, and Ashton Cain had one base hit.

Union will be hosting West Duplin on Wendsday. The Spartans now have a 2-5 overall record, and 0-3 in the conference.
