Clinton’s tennis team traveled to Southern Wayne High School this week to get the win on the tennis court. Clinton won the match easily, 8-1.

Aaron Visor, Corey Gilpin, Connor Bass, Lucas Swartz, and Tyler Kersey all were winners in the singles matches for the Dark Horses. Winning the double sets were teams of Visor and Bass, Jared Hall and Tyler Kersey, and Corey Gilpin and Lucas Swartz.

“We are pleased with the result of the match and how we played. Our schedule has really been strong enough to get us prepared for our upcoming conference matches, and we were just a more talented team than Southern Wayne today, no disrespect to them,” said Clinton’s head coach Robert Jones.

He also stated how his team could take things from the win that they could work on. It is obviously always better to be able to learn from a win than a loss.

Clinton hosted East Bladen Wednesday, and results from this match will be in later this week.

Clinton is now 2-3 overall, with a 1-0 conference record.
