Clinton’s tennis team kept their Four County Conference record perfect winning two conference matches this week. East Bladen visited Clinton on Wednesday afternoon for a match in blustery conditions. The Dark Horses made quick work of the visitors with Aaron Viser, Connor Bass, Jared Hall, Corey Gilpin and Tyler Kersey posting singles wins. Viser/ Bass and Hall/Kersey took 8-0 wins in doubles with Ko and Gilpin rounding out the day with an 8-3 doubles win.

Making a quick turn around, Clinton traveled to Clement Park in Wallace on Thursday for a match-up with Wallace-Rose Hill. The Dark Horses swept the matches with Aaron Viser, Connor Bass, Daniel Ko, Jared Hall and Corey Gilpin winning in singles. The Doubles matches were also dominated by Clinton with Viser/Bass, Ko/Gilpin and Hall/Kersey all taking home wins for the Dark Horses.

“I continue to be pleased with our team’s progress and we should get a good non-conference test when Cape Fear comes to Clinton for a match on next Tuesday.” said Clinton’s coach, Robert Jones.

Clinton tennis is 4-3 overall and 3-0 in Four County Conference play.
