Union played their best game of the season in a 10-0 win over a talented Trask Titans team. Union got great production on the pitcher’ mound from Tyler Matthis as he pitched a complete game shutout.
Matthis got plenty of help from great defense behind him, and Union had their best game hitting the ball as well. Everything that Union had not been doing in the past games, they did tonight, and they dominated.
“Our bats finally came alive tonight and Tyler pitched one heck of a game for us. Our defense was really good tonight and I’m just really pleased with the way we played tonight,” said Union’s head coach Josh Rackley.
Union is now 3-4 in the Four County Conference and 6-6 overall. They will take their momentum into next week to take on Clinton on Monday, and Midway on Tuesday.
