Clinton’s Lady Dark Horse softball team closed out their season on Friday night falling to conference foe Wallace Rose Hill by a score of 15-6. The Lady Dark Horses played well in the early innings, keeping the game close. The Bulldogs eventually proved to be too much for the Lady Horses, pulling away in the end.

Clinton was lead offensively by Jessica Bell who belted a double and three singles. Kristen Glasper and DeAsia Edwards each scored twice for the Lady Dark Horses. On defense Susan Jones had four put outs and Kristen Glasper recorded two strikeouts to highlight the pitching for the home team.

“We hit the ball well early and put some runs on the board but the one bad inning did us in again tonight,” said Clinton coach Ashley Slater. Slater added, “we have improved over the course of the season and with a young team we have alot to build on for next year.”
