Harrells Christian Academy’s volleyball team won their match against Rocky Mount High School 3 sets to 2.


HCA won the opening set 25-23, before losing the next two by scores of 25-23 and 25-21. With their backs against the walls, the Lady Crusaders won the next two frames by scores of 25-22 and 15-7.


Harrells had big games from Marissa Parks, Harley Crumpler, Emily Benton, Abigail Blanchard, and Margaret Clark on Tuesday. Parks had 4 aces, 2 kills, 17 assists, a block and a dig. Crumpler had 5 aces, 2 kills, 12 assists, and 2 digs.


Benton had 6 kills and 4 blocks, while Blanchard had 9 kills, 5 aces, a block, and a dig. Clark had 3 aces, 7 kills, a block, and 2 digs.


Harrells is now 1-3 on the young season. They are excited about the win and hope to use the momentum heading into their upcoming match with Freedom Christian Academy. HCA will travel to Freedom Christian on Thursday, looking for a second consecutive win.
