Black History program at Snowhill MB Church Sunday

Morning worship service will be held at the Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro, Sunday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. S.E. Bryant will bring forth the morning message and the youth choir will render the music. Following the morning service, the annual Soul Food dinner will be served. At 3 p.m., the annual Black History Program will be held, featuring the Rev. Timothy Moss of the Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church as guest preacher. He will be accompanied by his choir and congregation. Also featured will be skits, African dancers and negro spirituals. Everyone is cordially invited to attend this program.

New Life Outreach Ministries, 708 Sampson St., Clinton, will have their regular morning worship service Sunday, Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Regina Lucious will bring forth the word and the youth will render the music. Everyone is invited to attend.

Regular morning worship service will be held at the Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton Sunday, Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Alice Jean Boykin, will bring forth the morning message and the adult choir will render the music. Everyone is cordially invited.

Morning worship service will be held at First Baptist Church, Bowden, Snday, Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Harodl Boykin, will bring forth the morning message and the combined choir will render the music. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.

On Sunday, March 3, beginning at 10 a.m., Bishop Eddie Adkinson, choir and congregation of Selma will be at the Friendly Community Center for their morning worship service. The host pastor is Bishop Larry Mosson. Don’t miss this service. For transportation, call 590-7641.

The Christ Missionary Baptist Church, 5220 Faison Hwy., Clinton will have morning worship service Sunday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. Sunday school will be held at 9 a.m. and Bible study will be held each Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The Rev. Marvin T. Clowney Sr. is the pastor.

An appreciation service honoring our friend and brother in Christ minister Carl Faison will be held Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. It will be a Break the Bread of Life service. The guest speaker will be Apostle Lester E. Coward of the Deliverance Temple Revival Center Church in Dudley. On Friday, Feb. 22, Saturday, Feb. 23 and Sunday, Feb. 24, it will be held at the House of Prayer, Juniper Road, Faison. Also, Dr. Elevena Oliver of Saint Jude Church of Christ will speak. Don’t miss it.

Family and Friends Day will be celebrated at the Saint Stephens Holiness Church, Turkey, Wednesday, Feb. 27 through March 3 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. On Wednesday, Feb. 27 will be minister Pam Faison of Six Runs and the Faison Family choir; on Thursday will be Elder Rico Newkirt of Faith Temple Church of Magnolia, along with the choir. On Friday night will be Elder Tony Harrington, choir and congregation of First Baptist Church, Magnolia. On Sunday, March 3, we will conclude our Family and Friends Day celebration at 11 a.m. Following the morning worship service will be a fellowship dinner. The morning service will be at 11 a.m. with pastor Willie Bryant and the music by Saint Stephens and St. Jude choirs. At 3:30 p.m., the service will conclude with pastor Thelma Walters and Coopers Chapel Choir. Don’t miss this big celebration.

Regular morning worship service will be held at the Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, H.B. Lewis Road, Clinton, Sunday, Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Jeffrey White, will deliver the morning message and the gospel choir will render the music.

Mrs. Alice Fransis Kirby of Clinton and Mrs. Ruth Boone of Clinton will both celebrate their 83rd birthdays on Wednesday. Feb. 20. I pray for God’s blessings to be on each of them all year long, and I pray that each will have a long live and the best years possible.

There will be a birthday dinner Saturday, Feb. 23 in the Saint Stephens Church fellowship hall for elder Ralph Smith who will be celebrating his 90th birthday. His is honored as the father of the Clinton District Union. We hope to have representation from all the Clinton District churches.

The Community Male Chorus of Clinton will celebrate their 66th anniversary Saturday, March 2 at the Beaver Dam Missionary Baptist Church beginning at 6 p.m. The church is located on Odum Road. Various groups will sing. I will let you know next week ab out the groups that will be singing.
