ASHBORO — Mr. Bobby Louis Mathis, 49, of 453 Watkins St., formerly of Roseboro, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at Randolph Hospital in Ashboro, N.C.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Robinson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronald Highsmith officiating. Burial will follow in the Roseboro-Snowhill Cemetery.

Mr. Mathis is survived by his mother, Ossie Robinson and step-father, L.J. Robinson Jr., both of Roseboro, one daughter, Shakyme Mathis; one son, Bobby Rich of Roseboro; seven brothers, Robert Reno Melvin of Clinton, Bishop Bernard Melvin of Beckley, W.Va., Richard Marlo Melvin of Roseboro, James Melvin of Burlington, Rodney Robinson of Seattle, Wash., George Sinclair of Roseboro and Kevin Robinson of Greensboro; and four sisters, Sharon Thomas and Amanda Thomas, both of Roseboro, Sherella Edward of Greensboro and Tiffany Jacobs of Faison.

The public will be received from 1 until 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
