Jimmy Bass

Mr. Jimmy Bass, 66, of 82 Old Drag Strip Rd, died at his home Friday, Feb. 15, 2013.

The funeral will be held Sunday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan, Pastor Lynn Blackburn, and Rev. Ricky Lee officiating.

Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.

Born in 1946 in Sampson County, Mr. Bass was the son of the late Bill and Maggie Simmons Bass. He was a member of Williams Chapel Church and an employee with Edge Cabinet Company.

He is survived by his wife Edna W. Bass; daughter Nicole Brooks and husband Billy of Roseboro; three sons, Jimmy Lee Bass and wife Kathy Lynn of Mt. Olive, Kenneth Wayne Bass, and Nathan William Bass and wife Tonya, both of Clinton; two sisters, Nellie Denton and Jean Martin, both of Clinton, and a brother, Glenwood “Cotty” Bass of Clinton; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Lee and Edna Simmons, and a brother, Jack Bass.

The family will receive friends Saturday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home and other times at his home.
