Mildred P. McCullen, 76

MOUNT OLIVE — Mildred Price McCullen, 76, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. She was a member of the Mount Olive Presbyterian Church and had been a sales clerk at Leder Brothers Department Store, and Eckerd’s Drugs, both of which were previously in Mount Olive.

Services will be held by the graveside on at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Herring-Price Cemetery, with the Rev. Steven Wicks officiating. The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 17, from 7 until 9 p.m.

Mrs. McCullen is survived by a son, Billy McCullen and his wife, Ginger, of Dunn; a daughter, Phyllis M. Edwards of Clinton; five grandchildren, Crystal Edwards, Matthew Edwards and his fiancé, Haley, Will McCullen, Eli McCullen, and Elizabeth McCullen; a brother, C.B. Price Jr. and his wife, Ginger, of Kure Beach; two sisters, Betty P. Anderson and her husband, Kenneth, of Mount Olive, and Peggy P. Todd and her husband, Marvin, of Fayetteville; her canine companion, Tina B, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” McCullen Sr.; a son-in-law, Mark Edwards; her parents, Cullen and Mary Herring Price; and a sister, Hilda P. Best.
