Games rescheduled — Because of the threat of bad weather Friday, both Union and Lakewood have rescheduled their high school basketball games. Both schools will hold games on Thursday. Lakewood will host Wallace; Union will welcome James Kenan.

Roseboro Senior Citizens — will celebrate their 40th anniversary Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. at Roseboro United Methodist. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Andy Wood. Please come, bring a covered dish, and be a part of this special occasion. This event will be the last senior citizen’s gathering after many years of memories and happy times.
R-S Pageant — The Roseboro Salemburg Middle School Student Government Association will hold its annual Thomas Sessoms Scholarship Pageant on Feb. 2, 3 p.m. in the RS gym. This pageant honors Thomas Sessoms, a former beloved teacher at RSMS who dedicated his life to teaching. Sessoms passed away from cancer in November of 2009. Funds from this pageant go to fund scholarships given to a male and female Lakewood High School student.
