Due to unforeseen events the chicken pastry plate sale that was planned for Oct. 28 will not be held. However they will still be having their Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat beginning 3 p.m. and ending at around 5 p.m. Oct. 28. Bring the kids out for a day of fun. Due to water damage at FBC Mt. Olive, the EBA Annual Session on Monday, Oct. 22 will be held at Kenansville Baptist Church. The second day will be held at Mt. Gilead on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Registration is at 5 p.m., meal at 5:30 p.m., and the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Each church can send as many people as you would like, but each church has a specific number of voting messengers. Billy N. Harrell Golf Tournament to benefit the EBA Toy Store which provides toys for Christmas for needy children in our area. Last year toys were provided for over 700 children. Is hosting the Annual Eagles’ Nest Church Ministries Fellowship Conference for Pastors and Parishioners, Oct. 24-26, at 7:30 p.m. The theme for this year’s conference is “Order in the House.” Guest speakers for the conference will be: Wednesday – minister John Langley, New Life Outreach Ministries, Clinton; Thursday – pastor Cathy Moore, Greater Tabernacle Church Ministries, Longwood; Friday – bishop Derrick Fitzpatrick, Stone Temple Baptist Church, Chicago, Ill.
