Is in need of food items to be placed in the food bags given to families who come through the Toy Store. EBA officials are asking for donations of turkey breast from House of Raeford and would like to place the following food items in the bags: rice, stuffing mix, gravy mixes, canned veggies, cake mix/brownie, mix/cookie mix, cereal, pop-tarts, grits, juice, fruit cups/pudding cups, and any other item that you can think of. They are in the process of counting the families and are guessing that they will have close to 175 families. Please pray about providing these families with a food bag. They will also take donations so that they can purchase the food items. The families that we are serving are in a “crisis” and have been referred by the school social workers and guidance counselors. We screen the children with other agencies that provide Christmas to ensure that the families are not receiving from other agencies. FMI, contact Donna Landes, Church and Community Ministries director, 910-293-7077 or donna_easternbaptist@embarqmail.com, or www.easternbaptist.com.
