AUTRYVILLE — Mr. Paul MacAllen Sessoms, 72, of 912 Mt. Carmel Church Road, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at Duke University Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Mt Carmel Church of God of Prophecy with Bishop Warren Barfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Sessoms was born on Oct. 9, 1940 in Sampson County to the late Paul and Mildred Smith Sessoms. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Deloris Sessoms Yuille. He worked in the maintenance department with the Cumberland County School system.

He is survived by his wife, Mollie Frances Sessoms, of the home; daughter, Deborah Howard and husband, Kevin of Autryville; son, Bobby Sessoms of Mt. Airy; four sisters, Helen Sessoms of Autryville, Frances Faircloth of Autryville, Karen Poche’ and husband, Theodore of Wade, and Betty Woody of Vidalia, La.; three brothers, Bruce Sessoms and wife, Billie Sue of Autryville, Bryon Sessoms of Autryville and Kenneth Sessoms and wife, Judy of Long Beach, MS and his grandson, Nolan Howard of Autryville.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, Jan. 2, at Butler Funeral Home, from 6 until 8 p.m.
