The Sampson Community College Foundation Annual Campus Drive is off to a great start.

According to Lisa Turlington, executive director of the Foundation, the staff and faculty of the college have a long history of 100 percent participation in the Campus Drive, and they set the tone for the rest of the year for fundraising.

The Foundation hosted a wedding-themed luncheon last week, with a ceremony to renew the vow of commitment to the students and staff of the college.

The success of the campaign relies heavily on the leadership of team captains Ronnie Adams and Nydia Gonzales and Paul Wolf and Anita Boney who are supported by the committee.

“I am proud of the way the people here support the Campus Drive. By committing their own resources to the Foundation, the employees are sending a strong message that they believe in the mission of Sampson Community College, and that is about the best endorsement we can get,” stated Turlington.

Candy Taylor, one of the committee members, noted, “I am glad to help with this event because I see how these funds can be used to support the students and the staff here at the college.”
