Roseboro Elementary raises $1,500 for Heart Association
Roseboro Elementary School students participated in the annual Jump Rope for Heart campaign held Feb. 1 at the school. During their physical education class, Megan Strickland, health and physical education teacher, shared with students how the money they raised would help people who have heart conditions through research, medicine and equipment. Students jumped rope, played limbo and other games to raise money for the American Heart Association. About 150-175 students participated and raised $1,500.35. That is about $500 more than last year, school officials said, offering praise to students for their hard work. (Courtesy photo)
