Purvis will take interim manager post

During a budget work session tonight, Clinton Mayor Lew Starling announced that Shawn Purvis will take over as interim city manager when John Connet departs the post next Friday, May 24.

Purvis is currently the city’s assistant city manager.

Connet announced a few weeks back that he would be leaving his current position to take over the managerial helm of the City of Hendersonville in the western part of North Carolina. That job begins the week of May 27.
