Two men have been identified as prime suspects in the June 21 armed robbery of the Dollar General Store, located at 608 N.C. Hwy. 24, Roseboro.
Through investigative work in both Cumberland and Sampson counties, warrants have been issued for Cory Simpson and Justin Andre Epps.
Investigators said Friday both suspects were considered armed and dangerous and are wanted on numerous warrants for robbery with dangerous weapons related to other incidents that have occurred in Sampson and Cumberland.
In the Dollar General robbery, the two suspects allegedly burst into the store brandishing weapons and demanding cash from the store clerk. The clerk attempted to open the cash drawer, but was thrown to the floor by one of the suspects, who immediately grabbed the cash register and ran out of the store.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
