Woodard enters Navy
Civilian Dominique J. Woodard, son of Evelyn R. and Nicholas Woodard of Willard, recently enlisted in the U.S. Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District, Raleigh. The program allows recruits to enter the Navy and take up to one year to complete prior commitments such as high school. WCC recognizes local students Wayne Community College recently recognized two local students during Recognition Ceremonies. The students honored were: Lyndsey Dean who received an Honors Program Award for maintaining a GPA at or above 3.5; and Kalin Moore was recognized as a student ambassador for representing the college at special events and was nominated by the faculty and staff.
