Clinton High School junior Amy Wooten won the girls NCHSAA 1A/2A State Championship Tuesday, representing the Dark Horses. The hard work she put in certainly paid off as she went on to coast to the title by 14 strokes. Now she will play for in the boys tournament, where she finished in third place a year ago.
