The Clinton Lady Dark Horses’ soccer team continued their winning ways in conference play, this time over Midway. Clinton won the game 5-1.

The lone Lady Raider goal was scored by Kacey McLamb, and despite good play by Kyla Kibler and Anna Apperson, the Lady Raiders were no match for CHS.

The Dark Horses blew the game open in the second half after only a 2-1 halftime lead.

“I think we played well, and a lot better than the scoreboard showed,” said Midway’s head coach, Trey Apperson. “We had some things not go our way but I am proud of our effort.”

Clinton is still undefeated in conference play, and has pretty much locked up the regular season crown. Their stats were unavailable at press time. Clinton travels to Union High School this coming Friday.

Midway is now 9-3 overall and 8-2 in conference play. They are home again on Friday night to take on Wallace-Rose Hill.
