Lakewood High School is set to begin their fall sports practices this week. Football mini-camps begin on Thursday, July 30, from 7-9 p.m. The first official practice will begin with midnight madness from 10:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Friday, July 31.

Soccer practice is set to begin on Monday night as 6:30 p.m. on the soccer practice field at Lakewood.

To participate in either of these mini-camps, students must have sports physicals. Physicals will be available at the Lakewood High School field house on Thursday, July 30, at 6:30 p.m. Costs for each physical is $10.

“As for football, we are going to get going as soon as possible,” said Lakewood’s head coach James Lewis. “We are ready to get the season started and are hoping for a good turnout of players that are willing to work hard and do whatever they can to better themselves and this team. We are also hoping that we have a good turnout at soccer practices as well.”
