The Hobbton Wildcat soccer team hosted the Lakewood Leopards Wednesday and came away with an impressive win, 5-1.

Hobbton’s head coach, Jonathan Jacobs was pleased with his teams play

“This is our second big win,” he said. “We are looking better. The team chemistry is coming together and we have our feet working. Things seem to be going our way now. Despite having a few injuries, we are pulling together.”

The Wildcat scoring came on 2 goals by Oscar Pacheo and 2 goals by Larry Favela. Christian Vega added the 5th.

Vega, Johnny Ramos, Francisco Rosas, and Urial Cruz had 1 assist each.

Stats were not available for Lakewood at press time. After falling to James Kenan on Monday, the Leopards were unable to bounce back or turn things around as head coach Jay Faircloth had hoped. They will have a crucial match against Rosewood, at home, on Monday. This will be a huge game for Lakewood, as they try to keep their season in check.

The Wildcats play Monday at Spring Creek for another conference match.
