The Hobbton Middle Wildcats hosted the Union Spartans Wednesday afternoon. The Wildcats got the win, 20-14.

After an even first half, the score was tied at 14 at the break, the Wildcats marched the ball to the end zone midway the third quarter to go up 20-14. Union wasn’t able to answer.

Wildcat head coach Jackson Temple said, “I thought it was a great football game. Union played a great game. We made some defensive adjustments at the half and that made a big difference in stopping them. Our defense was able to stop them in the second half after the adjustments. The first two non-conference games were tough losses for us. To come back and win today after those two tough losses shows a lot of heart. I’m very proud of these young men. I’d like to thank the parents for their support and the community for its support that they’ve given us this year.”

Hobbton Middle travels to Roseboro-Salemburg next week.
