Hobbton Middle is off to its best football season in years with Wednesday’s 24-0 win at Roseboro-Salemburg Middle. They are at 2-0 for the season.

Hobbton coach Jackson Temple said, “Our pre-season was tough but we have come back strong in practice and have gotten better. We are 2-0 to start the conference. We will be playing for a share of the title in 2 weeks. (Hobbton has an open date next week). We will be playing at Sampson facing a good Sampson team. Our team played great defense. Our offensive line really blocked well for us. It was probably our best game of the season the way we ran the ball behind our offensive line. The score was 16-0 at the half and we finished 24-0.”

DaCorris Morrison, Brayden Herring and Junior Esquivel scored touchdowns for the Wildcats. Jacob Lee scored a point after. Temple continued, “Brayden Herring had a great game at quarterback.”
