The Hobbton Wildcat volleyball team finished their season on a high note. They celebrated Senior Night with 4 departing seniors with a 3-game win over Neuse Charter.

The first game was close with the Neuse leading a good part of it; however, the Wildcats were never far behind. Neuse got a run to go up 20-14. Joanna Hinson, one of the seniors, got the serve and 6 straight points to tie it at 20. Then, Neuse got a 3-point run to go up 23-20. Maddie Roesch served 5 straight points to get the win in game 1, 25-23.

The second game was close; however, the Wildcats held the lead for the whole game finishing 25-23 again.

Wildcat coach Russell Jones said, “In the third game MacKenzie Williams was serving and got 10 straight points to put us up 10-1. That lead help up for the rest of the game. Everything we were doing was right. It was good to have a game to see our hustle show up and put some points on the scoreboard. We are real thankful to have had those 4 seniors for 4 years.”

Hobbton will be in the first round of the conference tournament Monday at to be determined location.
